MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin
MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin goes digital: Welcome to #MCBRemote!
COVID-19 has caused quite a stir in the media industry and put current questions on the agenda with even more urgency: Will the corona crisis work as a catalyst towards the digital or will linear media emerge from this period sustainably reinforced? How can facts prevail over fake news and misleading content on the web in times of crisis? Is media consumption developing towards escapism or is the crisis making us more political and more observant? And how are creatives and media creators handling the current restrictions?
On the MCB channel, we will be discussing the current situation in the industry and inquiring about the latest developments in Internet and digital policy.
Our highlight speakers include, among others, Nadine Bilke (head of broadcasting, ZDFneo), Philipp Käßbohrer (managing director, bildundtonfabrik), Lavinia Wilson (actress), Henning Tewes (managing director, TVNow), Sarah Mosses (founder & CEO, Together Films), Laura Bull (managing director, readymade films) and Max Mauff (actor), Peter Wittkamp (author and copywriter), Cornelia Geppert (CEO & Creative Director, Jo-Mei Games), Ingo Senftleben (media policy spokesman for CDU Brandenburg), Sabine Frank (Head of Regulation, Consumer and Youth Protection, Google Germany), Sebastian Turner (editor of Tagesspiegel), Juliane von Reppert-Bismarck (founder and director, Lie Detectors) and Ben Scott (Director Policy and Advocacy, Luminate). The cross-media community platform ALEX Berlin as media partner will be broadcasting all sessions of MCB live.
The MCB channel is moderated by channel host Louis Klamroth.
